Every so often a hotel opens that sounds too polished to be true — the kind of place a fake-shopping site like DopamineKart would normally file under "dream, don't book." So when Marriott announced Amoh, a Luxury Collection Resort, Rhodes — its very first Luxury Collection property on the island — we did what Legit does: checked whether the glossy press photos describe a real, open, bookable resort. They do.
This part is legit.
Amoh opened in April 2026 on the Kavos Beach peninsula in Pefki, minutes from Lindos. It's a fully operational 197-room Luxury Collection resort with eight dining venues, two private beaches and a full spa — open now and taking reservations through Marriott Bonvoy.
What actually makes it legit
Amoh sits on a secluded peninsula at Kavos Beach in Pefki, on the southeast coast of Rhodes, bordered by a Hellenistic-Roman limestone quarry that the design leans into rather than hides. The interiors — by London firm Studio Lost — pull from the island's stonework traditions: mineral palettes, natural materials, and sculptural stone pieces sourced from that ancient quarry. It's the brand's first flag on Rhodes, extending a Luxury Collection footprint that already spans Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Crete and Paros.
The 197 rooms and suites include sweeping sea-view categories and private-pool retreats. At the top sits the Rhoda Presidential Suite, with a separate living room and bedroom, an expansive private terrace and direct access to a private pool. Two sandy beaches — Kavos Beach and Kymata Beach — are both walkable from the heart of the resort.

It has six treatment rooms plus a steam bath, sauna, and a hair and nail salon, backed by a 220-square-meter Technogym fitness center, a Reformer Pilates studio, tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor pools.

The honest catch
Three things keep Amoh at 4.5 rather than a perfect score. First, it's expensive — this is a five-star splurge, not a value pick, and July–August rates climb well above the entry price. Second, it's brand new: opened April 2026, so there's barely a track record of guest reviews, and first-season resorts can still be ironing out service. Third, it's secluded by design — wonderful for quiet, less ideal if you want Rhodes Town's nightlife or a big-city base; you'll want a rental car or transfers for day trips.
None of those are knocks on whether it's real — they're the honest trade-offs of booking a new, remote luxury property. Go in expecting a serene, food-and-spa-forward escape near Lindos, and it delivers exactly that.
