The honest part
My 10 days with it — 8 cats, and the smell is gone
I put it in the living room, about 2 m from the TV and fridge and 30 cm off the wall. Setup was as easy as it gets — pull it out of the box, peel the plastic bag off the filter, plug it in. Ten days later I haven’t touched the filter. I mostly leave it on auto and bump it to high when I’m cleaning the living room. Noise is genuinely low — it disappears into the background. The headline result: with four foster kittens and four adult cats, the litter-and-fur smell is practically gone — the real tell is that guests who used to notice it now walk in and say the house smells fresh. It also just keeps the air moving. My one gripe is the Korean-only controls — but on the US model that’s a non-issue. Worth it for the price, and I’d buy another for a second big room.

CUCKOO sells a close sibling on Amazon: the CAC-K1910FW, rated for up to 2,256 sq ft with 5-stage filtration — True HEPA H13, activated carbon, and a UV-C light the Korean unit doesn’t have — plus a quiet sleep mode and, crucially, English controls. The catch: it’s frequently out of stock (it was as I wrote this), so the buy button points to in-stock CUCKOO purifiers rather than a dead listing.
Which should you get?
Big coverage plus carbon is what actually kills pet odor — the whole reason I bought it.

For a home full of pets, it’s a yes from me — Legit 4.5. My only real gripe is the Korean-only controls, which is a non-issue on the US CAC-K1910FW (that one even adds UV-C and 5-stage). I’d buy it again for another big room.
