These eight smartwatches are Amazon best sellers as of Nov 5, 2026. Phone match comes first: Apple Watch needs an iPhone, and the Pixel Watch listing says Android only. Cellular models need a carrier plan. Battery hours are maker claims. Health features are wellness tools, not medical devices, so use model names, not "newest", to compare.
How we chose and how to read the numbers
The list is Amazon's best-seller order for smartwatches on Nov 5, 2026, so these are watches shoppers are actually buying. We skipped smart rings, kids' watches, a listing bundled with an AppleCare plan, and generic "smart watch for women" listings from unfamiliar brands. That left eight from the top sixteen, so this list is shorter than usual. We say so rather than pad it. Three of the eight are new models with few ratings.
Two numbers appear on each card. The star rating and rating count come from Amazon shoppers, not from us. Sales rank orders items inside Amazon's category: a lower number means the item is selling more right now. It can change by the day, and it says it sells, not that it suits you.

The eight watches

Apple Watch SE 3 GPS 40mm Smartwatch
Who it's for: An iPhone owner who wants the core Apple Watch features. The listing says SE 3 offers temperature sensing, sleep score, sleep apnea notifications, fall and car crash detection, and 18-hour battery life with fast charging. This listing is the GPS version.
The catch: The listing says the GPS model works with your iPhone or Wi-Fi to stay connected. It does not say it has its own cellular connection. Many health features carry footnotes, so check which apply to your country and iPhone.
Instead: If you want longer battery or a larger feature set, look at the Series 12 below.

Apple Watch Series 12 GPS 42mm Smartwatch
Who it's for: An iPhone owner who wants the newer health sensing. The listing says Series 12 measures HRV as often as every five minutes, takes background heart rate readings every five seconds, and has up to 24 hours of normal use with 15-minute fast charging.
The catch: Only about 380 ratings, so few shoppers have rated it yet. Our September event page says Series 12 shares a health-sensing system with Ultra 4 rather than a new design. "Most accurate" wording is Apple's claim.
Instead: If the older design is fine for you, SE 3 covers the basics.
Worth knowing: This is a major-brand new product with few ratings. We could not open Apple's own page, so we kept to the listing and our event page.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 GPS + Cellular 49mm Smartwatch
Who it's for: A runner, hiker or someone who wants multi-day battery on an Apple Watch. The listing says Ultra 4 is GPS plus cellular, 49mm, with up to 45 hours of Max Extended Workout tracking, dual-frequency GPS and satellite communications for emergency texts.
The catch: Only about 140 ratings. Cellular needs a plan from a carrier, and satellite features have conditions in the listing footnotes. The 45-hour figure is for a specific workout mode, not everyday use.
Instead: If you do not need the rugged case and long battery, the Series 12 covers the same health sensors per our event page.
Worth knowing: This is a major-brand new product with few ratings. We read the listing and our September event page only.

Garmin vívoactive® 5, Health & Fitness GPS Smartwatch, 42mm, Ivory
Who it's for: Someone who wants a Garmin that works with iPhone or Android and a bright AMOLED display. The listing says up to 11 days in smartwatch mode, 5 days with the display always on, Body Battery monitoring, more than 30 built-in sports apps and a wheelchair mode.
The catch: The listing notes that health data is "intended to be a close estimation", so it is not a medical reading. The title mentions a 42mm size and a color, which are variants.
Instead: For running-specific training plans, the Forerunner 165 is aimed at that.

Garmin Forerunner® 165, Running Smartwatch, 43mm, Black
Who it's for: A runner. The listing says built-in GPS, AMOLED touchscreen with button controls, up to 11 days in smartwatch mode and up to 19 hours in GPS mode, Garmin Coach plans and 25+ activity profiles.
The catch: The 19-hour figure is in GPS mode, and the 11-day figure is in smartwatch mode. They are different. The bullets do not describe phone compatibility, so check the listing.
Instead: If you want more general fitness and health tracking, see the vivoactive 5.

Google Pixel Watch 5 (41mm) - Android Smartwatch - Obsidian - Wi-Fi
Who it's for: An Android phone owner. The listing says the Pixel Watch 5 (41mm) is compatible with Android devices only and not with iOS, with up to 40 hours of battery, and a Loss of Pulse Detection feature that can prompt a call to emergency services.
The catch: It does not work with iPhone, per the listing. This listing is the Wi-Fi version, so check what that means for calls away from a phone. Only about 230 ratings. Loss of Pulse Detection is a safety feature, not a diagnosis.
Instead: If you use an iPhone, look at the Apple or Garmin watches instead.
Worth knowing: New product with few ratings. We read the listing bullets only.

Amazfit Bip 6 Smart Watch, 1.97" AMOLED Display, GPS, iOS/Android
Who it's for: Someone who wants long battery on a budget-friendly brand and uses iPhone or Android. The listing says a 1.97-inch AMOLED display, up to 14 days of battery, GPS, 140+ workout modes and 50m water resistance.
The catch: We did not research the brand's track record, so read the review pages. The 14-day figure is the maker's claim and depends on use. Health readings on any watch are estimates.
Instead: For the deepest training tools, Garmin lists more plans and recovery metrics in its bullets.

Google Fitbit Versa 4 Fitness Smartwatch, 24/7 Heart Rate - Black/Graphite
Who it's for: Someone who wants a Fitbit with Google Health. The listing says 24/7 heart rate, built-in GPS, 40+ exercise modes, water resistant to 50 meters, Alexa built-in, Google Wallet and Maps, and 6+ days of battery.
The catch: This is Versa 4, an older model name, and the bullets name Google Health. Check whether the Fitbit app and features you want are still available for your phone before you buy.
Instead: If you only need a tracker and not a smartwatch, see our fitness tracker watchlist.

How to shop this category on Black Friday
Match the phone first. The Apple Watch listings here describe working with an iPhone. The Pixel Watch 5 listing says Android only and not iOS. If you switch phones later, the watch may not follow.
Model names are the trap. Apple's naming runs SE 3, Series 12 and Ultra 4 side by side, and a Series 11 listing also appears in the top sellers. Our event guide says Series 12 and Ultra 4 were announced at the Sept 9 event. A "Black Friday special" can be an older model. Compare the model name and the case size (40mm, 42mm, 49mm) on the listing, not just the word "Apple Watch".
GPS versus cellular. The Ultra 4 listing is GPS plus cellular. The SE 3 and Series 12 listings here are GPS. A cellular watch needs a plan from a carrier, and that cost is separate from the watch. Confirm it with your carrier.
Battery numbers are claims. Listings quote hours or days under specific modes: smartwatch mode versus GPS mode, normal use versus a workout mode. Compare like with like. Always-on displays shorten the stated figure on the Garmin listing.
Health features are not a medical device. Listings use footnotes and wording like "close estimation". Use readings as wellness information and talk to a clinician about health concerns. Features also vary by country.
Variants and bundles. Titles name sizes and colors, and ratings may cover several variants. Avoid listings that bundle a warranty or accessory unless you want it. How likely is it?
What is still unconfirmed, how sure we are, and what would settle it. Word labels, not percentages.
Possible Whether the newest models (Series 12, Ultra 4, Pixel Watch 5) will be promoted this season. Amazon has not announced its dates as of Nov 4, 2026, and we have no source for any promotion on these new models. What would settle it: Amazon's own deals page when events are announced.
Questions and answers
What is the best-selling smartwatch on Amazon right now?
In the Keepa data pulled Nov 5, 2026, the Apple Watch SE 3 GPS listing ranked first, followed by Series 12. Rank changes daily and measures sales, not quality.
What does Amazon sales rank mean?
It orders products inside a category. A lower number means the item is selling more right now. It does not rate quality.
Does an Apple Watch work with Android?
The Apple listings here describe pairing with an iPhone. Check Apple's page for your model before buying if you use Android.
Does the Pixel Watch 5 work with iPhone?
No, per the listing, which says it is compatible with Android devices only and not iOS devices.
Do Garmin watches work with iPhone?
We did not open Garmin's compatibility page. The vivoactive 5 and Forerunner 165 bullets do not state phone support, so confirm it on the listing and Garmin's page.
What is the difference between Apple Watch SE 3, Series 12 and Ultra 4?
Per the listings, SE 3 has 18-hour battery, Series 12 has up to 24 hours and newer heart rate sensing, and Ultra 4 is 49mm with up to 45 hours in a workout mode and satellite SOS.
Does a cellular smartwatch need a plan?
Yes, calls and data away from your phone need a carrier plan. Check your carrier for cost and supported models.
How long does a smartwatch battery last?
It varies. Listings here say 18 hours for SE 3, up to 24 for Series 12, up to 11 days for the Garmins and up to 14 days for the Amazfit. Those are maker claims.
Is a smartwatch a medical device?
The listings describe wellness features and some use "close estimation" wording. They are not a replacement for a doctor.
What does Loss of Pulse Detection do?
The Pixel Watch 5 listing says it detects loss of pulse and can prompt a call to emergency services. Read the footnotes for conditions.
Is the Fitbit Versa 4 still worth considering?
It is an older model name. The listing says Google Health, Alexa built-in and 6+ days of battery. Confirm app support for your phone before buying.
Are cheap "smart watch for women" listings safe to buy?
We skipped these from unfamiliar brands. Check the brand, rating count and return window, and be careful with health claims.
Will smartwatches go on sale for Black Friday?
Amazon had not announced its dates as of Nov 4, 2026, and we have no source on specific products. Use price history tools and see the current price on Amazon.
What should I check about a "Black Friday special" smartwatch?
Match the model name, case size and GPS or cellular type to the regular version, and compare the return window.
